Production Planner - 5 months - York
A Production Planner is needed for a 5-6 month project for a large stable manufacturing facility in York, PA. This position is responsible for the planning of parts and services necessary for the execution of customer orders and the logistical expertise necessary to turn sales orders for assigned product lines into invoiced deliveries, meeting both customer expectations as well as company and department goals.

Summary:

Supports the planning team & attends daily production meetings if required Manages assigned Projects & Sets up part numbers/item cards Supports part numbers/item cards/bill of material maintenance Releases sales and service orders & creates manufacturing orders Schedules production, material and resource planning & planning of purchased parts Releases orders for shipment & invoicing Maintains order files (sales, service & manufacturing) current and long term Works with other departments with customers as neededQualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent in a technical or business discipline and/or 2 - 3 years in a company that manufactures or services machinery preferred Logistical experience (domestic and/or import/export) preferred Training in Lean methodology is a plus Good oral and written communication, including technical writing Good interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks Ability to prioritize assignments General knowledge of inventory and accounting practices preferred General knowledge of office equipment, computers, scanners etc.IT literate, high level of accuracy.
